Online Giving Overview
Accept card and ACH gifts through Mutual Covenant, with Stripe handling payments and payouts.
Online Giving lets members and guests give to your church by card or bank account (ACH) directly through Mutual Covenant.
How it works
- Mutual Covenant provides the giving experience: the public giving page, the Member Portal Give screen, fund selection, and automatic recording of successful gifts in your Giving ledger.
- Stripe processes the payments and handles the regulated payment infrastructure: card and ACH processing, verification of your church, fraud screening, and payouts to your church's bank account.
- Your church has its own Stripe connected account. Gifts are charged directly on that account, go to your church's Stripe balance, and are paid out to your bank by Stripe. Mutual Covenant never holds or pools donations.
Included on every plan
Online Giving is included with Starter, Growth, Pro, and Complete. There is no add-on. Mutual Covenant does not add a transaction fee; standard Stripe processing fees apply. See Online Giving fees.
Who can set it up
Church Owners, Administrators, and users with the Set up and manage Online Giving permission. Users with View giving can see status and online gifts.
