Donor Giving Experience
There are two ways to give online.
Members (Member Portal)
Signed-in members open Give in the Member Portal. Their name and email are already known, and the gift is linked to their record so it appears in their giving history and contribution statement.
Guests (public giving page)
When the church turns on the Public giving page, anyone with the church's giving link can give without a Mutual Covenant account. Guests enter their name and email (or choose Give anonymously if the church allows it). If the email exactly matches one existing member, the gift is linked to that member; names alone never link a gift to a person.
The form
- Church logo and name
- Fund selection (only funds the church made available online)
- Amount (preset buttons or a custom amount)
- Giving type: one-time
- Stripe's secure payment form for card or US bank account
- Give Securely
After giving
The donor sees a confirmation page. Card gifts are confirmed immediately; bank (ACH) gifts show as processing until the bank settles. Stripe emails a payment receipt to the email address provided. Refreshing the confirmation page never creates a second gift.
