How Mutual Covenant Protects Church Data

A plain-language overview of how your data is kept separate and secure.

Protecting your church's information is a priority.

Your data is separated

Each church's data is kept separate. Access is restricted to authenticated users and their permissions within that church. One church cannot see another church's records.

Access is controlled

  • Sign-in with individual accounts
  • Roles & permissions limit what each user can reach
  • Multi-factor authentication adds a second step
  • Sensitive areas such as child safety and pastoral care have extra restrictions

Privacy of sensitive records

Child medical/restriction details, pastoral care notes, and giving detail are visible only to users with the right permissions.

Online Giving payments

Card and bank details for online gifts are entered into Stripe's secure payment form and go directly to Stripe. Mutual Covenant never receives or stores full card numbers, security codes, or bank account numbers. See Online Giving security & privacy.

Note

This overview is intentionally high-level. It does not include technical security internals.
